  • GALLERY ONE’S COMMITTEE COMMENDATION – Free entry to 2025 G1 Smallacombe Portrait Prize

AN ENTRY IS ONLY ELIGIBLE TO WIN ONE OF THE PRIZES. THE MAJOR PRIZE SHALL BE SELECTED FIRST, THEN THE YOUTH PRIZE

Other prizes will be chosen in the following order: Hangers Prize, followed by Gallery One Chair’s Choice, and, finally, the Gallery One Committee’s Commendation.

All prize winning works are non-acquisitive. Entries for the Gallery One Smallacombe Portrait prize 2024 closes strictly at 4pm (South Australia time) on 30 June 2024

ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE ONLY

and must include:

  • completed Entry form
  •  an image of the artwork in JPEG format, max size 2 MB
  •  a non-refundable $40 entry fee.

Only entries which satisfy all 3 conditions above, strictly by 4pm (South Australia time) on 30 June 2024, will be accepted.

SELECTION PROCCESS

The judging panel will select Finalists from all the submitted and eligible entries.

Finalists will be chosen based on the images submitted by the entrants/artists. The selected Finalists’ artworks will be showcased at the Gallery One Smallacombe Portrait Prize 2024 Finalists Exhibition at Gallery One from 31 August-25 September 2024. The Prizes’ Winners will be determined by the same panel of judges, who will assess the actual exhibited Finalists’ artworks in the gallery.
