DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to the launch of an exhibition of Watercolour paintings by member of Gallery One  \nERIC HUDSON        \non Friday 22nd Feb 2019 at 6 pm \nExhibition 22nd February—15th March 2019 \nTuesday-Friday 10.00am-4.30pm \nExhibition Curator Marie Trebilcock\, Artist \nExhibition to be opened by Robert Zunic\, Artist and Art Educator \nEric started painting some 50 years ago as a counterbalance to a career in the hard uncompromising world of the UK construction industry. Initially he worked mainly in oils before converting to watercolours. Since moving to Australia 10 years ago he has worked exclusively in watercolours. His work covers a wide and varied range of subject matter including English and Australian landscapes\, cityscapes\, seascapes\, fishing boats\, images of Australia’s past\, cattle drovers\, swagmen\, bullock trains and wildlife. His interest in music\, Eric also plays piano\, is reflected in his many paintings of musicians and their instruments. Eric is a member of Gallery One and has regularly attended Wednesday Open Studio for a number of years. \n                                                                  \n \n

Download Dieter’s full essay on the theme Life@death 2109 – Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus. \nOur artist in residence for 2019 is Tanya Voges – Dance Maker. Educator. Performer. We look forward to her creative contribution to the exhibition and discussion on our opening night.On 22nd March\, at the exhibition opening\, Tanya will perform a dance routine she created in Virtual Reality – painting in 3D space with virtual reality. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThrough the Life@death 2019 exhibition\, Gallery One and Mitcham Village Uniting Church is giving artists the opportunity to create or choose an artwork or object that speaks into one of the station of the cross – “Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus”. \nAlain de Botton Interview: Religion without God: Alain de Botton on “atheism 2.0.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION CLOSING ON 4th March 2019  \nArtists at all stages in their creative development are invited to apply to participate.
